Legs Up The Wall For Anxiety

Feeling overwhelmed, stressed out, or having racing thoughts?

Try this trick and place your legs up against a nearby wall (preferably in a quiet, calm room away from others).  This restorative pose provides enormous benefits that help to slow down your heart rate, leaving you feeling more relaxed, clear headed and calmer overall.  Try to stay here for 5 to 10 minutes while noticing the natural rhythm of  your breath and body.  Your nervous system begins to reset itself, making you feel less agitated and more relaxed.
When you're done, notice if your anxiety changes at all and let me know what you think!

Check back soon for more tips on how to tackle your anxiety in the moment without having to come to therapy!
